1987: Cleghorn Wilton & Assoc., Dubai as staff surveyor.
1988: Transferred to GAB Robins, Lloyd's Agents, Auckland as staff surveyor

Rob Parker: Assistant marine surveyor
Rob joined us in January 2011 as a staff surveyor with a good marine background .

SEPTEMBER
2007 – DECEMBER 2010:
3 years as a boatbuilder with Brin Wilson Boatbuilders Ltd, Gulf Harbour
Marina, Whangaparaoa, New Zealand.

Responsible for undertaking all manner of
structural and superficial repairs and alterations to wooden and fibreglass
boats, including teak decks, hull extensions, complete internal and external
hull overhaul, plumbing work, propeller shaft and rudder realignments, keel
removal and replacement , underwater exhaust fitment.

JANUARY
1998 – DECEMBER 2005:
Engineer Officer, Royal Fleet Auxiliary,
UK.

Watchkeeping Engineer Officer on
refrigerated stores/ammunition ships, military transport vessels, and fleet
replenishment tankers with, variously, operator-maintainer responsibility for
main diesel and diesel-electric propulsion plant, diesel-alternators, pumps,
compressors, auxiliary boiler plant, refrigeration and air conditioning, fresh
water generators, sewage plant, small craft and lifeboats, deck machinery, and
close range weapon systems.
