In respect of yachts, launches and the like; (mega, super, large or small)

• "Insurance" surveys where an owner or their agent are seeking an independent surveyor's report on the condition of the craft for assessment of an insurance risk.
• Pre-purchase "condition" surveys
• Evidential condition surveys for use against another party

For commercial hulls (ships, barges, fishing vessels and the like)

• On or off-hire surveys
